joining no account number or email sent

I'm trying to join - have been since last night - have paid £5 (maybe)  but no email has been sent to me (YES I have looked at spam too).  Tried ringing the numb but er given, but you need an account number to communicate with it - I haven't got one yet.  The page that says my account is being opened has a wheel of death that has been rotating since 10pm yesterday.  There are no humans working for sky apparently, only robots.  Almust as bd as BT whom I'm trying to leave, but will have to stay with them if I don't hear from someone SOON -a HUMAN

@Granny44 welcome to the Sky Community 🙂, a place where customers try to help other customers. It's unlikely that Sky will respond to your post here.

 

Is there anything here: https://www.sky.com/ordertracking ?

 

If not try the number you've been given, but don't respond to any of the automated prompts, and hopefully you'll eventually be put through to an adviser/

Mysteriously, without emailing me as they said they would, they have opened my account.  I have no account number or password but they now say my account will be activated one day next week.  A day when I'm away so that will be interesting.  I wonder if they're oigng ot send me one of their boxes to set up.  Fortunately a friend has just switched to them, so will be able to help me.  Anyhting better than BT who refused to believe I am a human as I took 3 or 4 attempts to prove I'm one by finding pieces of cars, hydrants, buses etc - all failed apparently.  They have no humans at BT as they don't seem to have a way that the elderly can prove  we are human - maybe we aren't?

broadband, but irrelevant as their email never arrived so my 'activation' code was no use.  Though their phone line didn't know my phone number someone did as they texted me to say my account is open.  All with no human intervention.
