i was called by the sales and service team. extremely rude, next steps?

wondering if anyone call help me with a complaint or the next steps to take because i was called by a sales and service team member, the man was incredibly rude, at one point was shouting at me for my security questions.

once i finally answered, he then to tried to raise my account bill and add packages to my account thinking i would just say yes to everything. as a long time customer/account holder i thought i would recieve certain benefits not be conned into raising my bill.

after i called him out on what he was trying to do, he abruptly hung up on me.

what type of customer service is this!

Hi @RajP58   How did you know they were from Sky, have you considered that they are a scammer looking for your security information.

@RajP58 Are you sure the call was genuinely from sky

what you describe is typical of a scam caller trying to obtain enough details to access your account and purchase items leaving you to foot the bill

Ok, if it was Sky then you can raise a complaint: https://www.sky.com/help/forms/complaints

If it wasn't Sky then perhaps your account has been compromised - I would recommend changing your password just in case.  Worth turning on two factor security too.

Numbers are easily spoofed.

Hi @RajP58   That number could have been spoofed, so meaningless. However to answer your original question, How to make a Complaint

@RajP58  the scammers can easily use technology that makes the number they are using look genuine but actually isn't

a genuine sky agent should only ask you for one telephone access password that you have setup on your account and nothing else

Hi @RajP58   At least if a couple of high end mobile phones turn up, you are forewarned ...

@RajP58 Did they ring on your landline or mobile?

If mobile, you state that information is not on your Sky account, so this points to it being scammers who try thousands of number combinations until they get an answer.

Re: i was called by the sales and service team. extremely rude, next steps?

I've had the same today, when I asked the woman to verify she was actually from sky as call showed a random number she sniggered at me and said she could give me 1 piece of information, that piece of information provided was incorrect, So she proceeded to tell me what was included in my package and when it was last changed which was correct, I explained I found her to be extremely rude sniggering at me for asking her to verify she was actually calling from sky as there is so many scammers out there, especially when she was the person who called me and expected me to hand over my personal information to verify myself z.

She then proceeded to tell me she wasn't rude and that I was in the wrong for taking it that way so I told her I wished to end the conversation and she put the phone down . I googled the number and it was Infact Sky however her approach was totally wrong, as a customer of nearly 20 years I'm absolutely shocked that she would find it strange or an issue being asked to verify themselves considering they called me, However had I called them directly I wouldn't have an issue handing over my personal details as would be fully aware of who I was speaking too.
