The annual price rise occurs in April for all UK customers. If you join or renew around that period the proposed increase is usually deferred for about 4 months and is then applied. It's kind of a grace period so you don't get hit by the price increase immediately. Your next increase (we have to assume there will be one) will be in April 2026, then April 2027.

thanks. for your repy. thought it was to good to be true. I was going to leave sky. Just widowed & the prices were over doubled. but the agent came back next day with a deal that I could afford.

If you have agreed a new contract then they might not let you leave as a contract is just that in that is comes with a minimum term in which you are locked in.

@lyn41 I would be surprised if any deal/renewal in May would be subject to the 60 day increase protection, the price agreed would be a full month after the annual rise so the new prices should already be included(after all Sky can't offer you a price that would no longer be available).
Hi Dave thank you for your repy. as I said I only have basic package sky cinema & signature, they offered it at discount price for 2 years. I thought great! can afford that as I'm just widowed. the sky cinema has'nt been increased, but just signature by £4 a month starting today. & they altered the original price. today it was discounted from £40. when I agreed it was £36
