Re: Why stay with sky!

I need your  negotiating skills. Honestly they couldn't have cared less. Big company losing money you would think you'd offer some sort of a deal from a retention perspective.

Would love to see their Retention strategy which seemingly is (for me) 'she's a sky glass customers so has to pay it'.

I always raved about Sky and have to say I loved Glass. I absolutely won't be recommending it anymore

Re: Why stay with sky!

Thanks so much. It's good to know that some of their agents can be helpful. Do you know what your entertainment package currently is per month?

Re: Why stay with sky!

I've been with them 18 years price increase of £20 a month. Rang and got attitude from call handler, asked to cancel got attitude its a joke.

@Sarahmo2411

Although there's no need for 'attitude' as you call it, what service were you asking to cancel and are you in a minimum term discounted deal for it?

Re: Why stay with sky!

Im not in contract.i have broadband and sky tv , signature,  HD and netflix.

Went up to £90 a month, their saving for me was £79.50 a month for 24 month contract.

After 18 years as loyal customer.. absolutely not.

@Sarahmo2411

So if you're no longer in a discounted term you're paying the full standard price for your services so you need to either call to negotiate new discounts (which are harder to come by these days) and would require a new 24 month minimum term, or

contact Sky to cancel giving the required notice period (31 days for TV and 14 days for broadband and Talk).

Re: Why stay with sky!

Thanks for your reply. I left Sky and now use EE TV on my Sky Glass. I pay a minimal amount per month and feel even more ripped off by sky and I have a better product offering with EE, all Sky channels and pay 50% less

Re: Why stay with sky!

I have Sky for 14 years. I wanted Football. Then Sky had all Scottish league cup and internationals plus champs league. They've lost the majority of those games. They still charge £98.50! Asked for a deal was offered £68.50

TV only. Virgin media offering TV most sports a SIM card Netflix and super fast broadband for £65. Bye Sky!👋🏻👋🏻

@BjFo

What Virgin have offered you is a new customer deal with incentives to sign up. In 18/24 months when those discounts finish you'll be in a similar position.

Re: Why stay with sky!

That's great, I did that and got the same price as you, but it is still significantly more than a new customer pays.

Re: Why stay with sky!

Starting to consider other options as the quality of customer service is abysmal - 'chatbot' is a waste of time, operators 'when they answer the phone' don't, or can't help. When you do get to talk to someone they want a 'verbal password' [that we don't have]; but strangely when we get the myriad of calls from Sky, they never ask me for 'verbal password' and we are VIP customers, whatever that means 😂😂😂

@Mike989 Sky wouldn't ask for a verbal password if you hadn't set one up with them. I'd suggest calling to say you've forgotten it and ask to set up a new one.
