What has happened to sky???? disgraceful customer services.

I recently got in touch with thecustomer service team regarding a new contract and what was on offer - firstly I spent 6 hours on the chat function talking to an operator that eventually left for a course for 45 minutes then never came back - another operator joined the chat and I had to go over security again - eventually he carried on and confirmed that the new agreement would be a new package and broadband etc for a new amount.

I had screenshot all interaction as I thought I was being taken the mickey out of (attached).

A few days ago my direct debit came out and the original bill amount  came out.

I telephoned customer services this afternoon and for one hour I was passed around 3 people who all kept asking for my security details even though two had been speaking to each other.

All three say there is no record on my account of even speaking to an agent and that there is no new deal in place.

I have been treated despicably by all involved and I never thought this would be how Sky has become after 30 years of my being a customer across numerous addresses.

I currently am unable to get hold of an agent [removed]. I feel that I may as well close my account and take my money elsewhere after this - can some please cancel everything I have immediately and I will source my services elsewhere.

To add to this, I feel I have been treated completely disgustingly.

Regards

Paul

@Roundy1973 we're a customer Community, and consequently nobody here can cancel your services. You'll need to call to give the notice required - 14 days for broadband, 31 days for everything else.

@Roundy1973

As this is a customer helps customer forum ironically you will have to call again to cancel and you can only do that if you are not in a contract for any of your services.

Hi @Roundy1973

Without knowing which services you wish to cancel, this help page gives you details for cancelling all Sky services.

You can't do that here @Patterson66 as you will need to contact Sky support to do this:

To cancel your TV subscription fully, if you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. (If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term).

Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by calling Sky Ireland or writing in.

If you successfully cancel you should receive an acknowledgment email from Sky.

If you are cancelling Sky Q, return packaging will be sent out near the end of your notice period. It’s important that you obtain proof of posting and keep it safe and indefinitely.

🔹

If you’re cancelling Broadband & Sky Talk then if you’re moving to another ISP you could use the One Touch Switching system which is hopefully the easiest method and explained in this link ~ NOTE: it only applies to broadband and Talk and not a TV subscription.
https://www.uswitch.com/broadband/guides/one-touch-switch/

If you are cancelling Broadband/Talk altogether you need to contact Sky and give the required notice of 14 days. Remember that if you are still in a discounted 18/24 months deal Sky could impose cancellation charges.

Return packaging for any equipment Sky expect back will be sent out to you near the end of any notice period. Remember to keep any proof of posting indefinitely.

Go ahead and call. You can't cancel if you're 'in contract' unless Sky agree. 14 days notice required forBroadband/Talk. 31 days for everything else.
