Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Lol13notbothere In addition to @Daniel0210 reply if you have a recurring payment method in place either card or Direct debit you have authorised Sky to take payments each month.
However it should be noted if you make a manual payment this does not stop automated payments from being taken. Did you make a manual payment?

Same here cancelled broadband in October and despite taking it off the November bill yet again have charged me for December.

That sounds like the cancellation hasn't been processed.
How did you cancel your broadband?
