Waiting for a sky refund

Hi I noticed on my bill that a payment was taken twice and I was in credit, so rang sky earlier this week as I could do with the spare cash to put towards  last minute Christmas treats. 
The sky customer service advisor, said that I should get it by today but nothing has gone into my account . It's quite frustrating as tomorrow is Christmas Eve and I've got a feeling the refund won't turn up until after Christmas .

How quickly do refunds usually go into bank accounts ? Is there a certain time each day that a refund is released by sky?

It can be up to 5 days for a refund to reach your bank account. I imagine your bank would process it overnight.

I've still not received a refund and am unsure what to do .

The banks do not process refunds like yours in holiday days or weekends so as the last four days fall into this category I would give it to this time next week as the chances are it will have been refunded to you by then.

3 to 5 working days for a refund as you asked for this on the 23rd the first working day will be today for this to be actioned

I actually phoned sky for the refund at 8am Tuesday 20th December . Thought it may have arrived by now 😅

In that case the first working day was the 21st so it should be with you shortly i would expect
