WARNING! any damage caused to your property by a Sky engineer they deny and you’ll get nothing!

I'm absolutely livid.

Long story short. I phoned up to complain about broadband speeds suddenly dropping.
Sky said they'd have to send a Sky engineer out (which isn't actually necessary but they insisted). A big lumbering fool turned up and first thing he did was scrape the wall with a big bag he had on his back. He then went into my bedroom where the master plug is (sat on my bed without asking permission) but instead of checking that he helped himself to messing up my desk with my Sky hub on and connected to that. He then went and got a new hub and tested that on my line and in doing so had the plastic bottom of the hub precariously on the edge of my desk. He kept moving the hub on the desk while connecting cables etc and didn't get anywhere with fixing the speed. He left and I went back to tidy up the area he had been and he'd taken a bit of the desk surface off right exactly where the hub was. I've just moved in to this flat and have literally just that week bought this desk and put it together. I raised a claim sending photos which I've just chased up and the official response from sky claims dept is the engineer was spoken to and he Denys doing it..obviously!!! And that's that. They take his word over mine. I've got to lump it. Or take third party legal action. Had a massive row with the person on the phone who say they are not taking sides but there's not enough evidence! Other than the photo of the damage which they say doesn't show that's where he was working. Well how am i supposed to show that!!  And yes Sky you are taking the side of the lying engineer. Ludicrous and disgusting treatment of a very long time customer. So be warned people, if anyone from Sky damages your property.. tough!

Oh and I spoke to a different department later regarding the speed issue (attenuation) and they fixed it over the line without a visit...just as I told them they could in the first place.

What here? Why? No the photos went to skys claims dept which they acknowledged as damage. Just that they didn't prove who did it....which of course is literally impossible and is why engineers never admit to it as they know they can get away with it.  Immoral.

Not sure if you have already but it might be worth raising an official complaint to Sky using the below link.

Thanks yeah I've already done this but I fear from what they said on the phone the Sky Claims department class themselves as separate from Sky services. Which of course is ridiculous and convenient. Honestly they were like talking to a brick wall. A brainwashed one at that. I kept wondering if I was talking to a bot.
