Vanurable person been restricted and need to speak to a human

The account I have is under my ex husbands name and I need to get this unrestricted and I have been told it will be terminated and no more sky. As I do not have control over the account do I let this happen and then get a new account with them ? 

I am ex military and a veteran and just want to talk to someone

@Nikkipb You need to ring Sky. Ring 150 from a Sky Mobile or Sky Talk phone or use the Contact Us option in the forum footer. We are customers like you on here.

Although I'm not sure what they can do for you because an account would usually only be restricted if there is an outstanding bill or bills against it so could this be the case ?

@Nikkipb I assume the restriction is because of unpaid bills. If so, it will be difficult for you to speak to Sky about the account, even if you know your ex's telephone password. Without the password they can't speak to you about the account at all. If the call handling system won't allow you to be put through to an adviser, you could try Sky's social media presence as a prospective new customer.

 

In circumstances such as this, I believe Sky's advice in the past has been to allow the account to fall into arreas, as it's your ex (the accountholder) that Sky will pursue for repayment. If you're still on speaking terms it would be best to sort it out with your ex before that happens.

 

The difficulty is that until that is achieved, Sky may not allow you to open an account in your name.

Unfortunately as you're not the account holder, in my opinion it's pointless calling Sky. There is very little they'd be able to discuss with you.
