Upfront fee for Sky TV and Broadband

I am a former Sky customer (gone 12 months) looking to come back to Sky for TV and Broadband. I've been told I have to pay an upfront fee of €155 for a Sky Q box but this seems strange. Has anyone else heard of this? Thanks.
