Trying to change address but it tells me I need to clear my balance.

I don't have a balance due. I've gone round in circle after circle with the live chat, which is as useful as a chocolate teapot. 

Very disappointing that I can't just call Sky up and it's annoying having the wrong region of TV.

Can anyone advise please?

I don't think we know enough to be able to advise you. Can you shed any light on why Sky think you're in arrears? Tell us more about what was said during the live chat? Are you new to Sky? Does your online Sky account show an amount due?

Hey @Mark39 , thanks for the response.


The only 'arrears' I can think of are my 3 year Sky Glass contract. Which has a year to run. It'd be strange if they don't let me change address based on that repayment plan?

All bills within my account say that there's £0.00 balance and £0.00 to pay, so I assume the Glass contract is separate. 

I pay by direct debit and it's never been missed and I've been with Sky since 4th March 2022.

The live chat kept directing me to the 'moving home' page. Which told me I had to clear my balance before I could change my address, linking me back to my account page. Then it sent me to community but I couldn't find a similar problem.

So back to the chat and back to the loop.

Apart from Sky Glass do you have anything else from Sky like Mobile or Broadband ?

Nothing but a Sky Puck which I got with Glass.

No mobile nor broadband, I've never had either.

Instead of using the live chat have you tried calling as once you have battled with the bot you should get through to someone. Or perhaps used social media as there are links at the bottom of ths page to Sky's channels.

I've tried to get the bot to provide me with a number. Socials is a plan, I'll give that a go.
