I'm not defending Skys processes. It's well known on the forums that threats to cancel a direct debit gets the customer nowhere. All I've done is outline the problems you'll face if you do it.

If you're referring to @Daniel0210's post about the consequences of cancelling your direct debit, it's a statement of the facts, rather than a defence.

 

Lots of posts here  from customers who have managed to cancel successfully without all the drama...

Cancelling the direct debit is a last resort, as I still want to renew my broadband contract.

 

I'm definitely at the limit of my patience with Sky's communition options, though.
