Took money for bill but still marked as unpaid

Hi I made a payment to sky for my bill that was due this month they have taken payment out of my bank account but still states over due. This is not on. I have the bank statement to prove I payed. There was a screen glich just as I was paying. No error of mine. Can you help with this as I am not paying twice.

It sounds like you made an unnecessary manual payment. 

If you have a continuous payment method set up you should never need to make a manual payment. A credit will appear on your account for the amount you have overpaid once the planned payment has been processed. This should automatically be used to pay your next bill so on that bill date no/less money should be taken from your account. I would recommend not making manual payments unless requested to by Sky.

If you prefer, once your extra payment is showing as a credit, we can perhaps get you some help in getting it refunded (within the standard 3-5 working days) through the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if you want to do that having confirmed it’s now showing as a credit.

Whilst this month's payment is processing any manual payment you've made is against next month's bill.

 

Whilst it may have said 'overdue' it was in the middle of processing and will probably clear on Monday as the banking system doesn't process over the weekend.

 

As noted, you should not make manual payments unless specifically contacted by Sky.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
