Threatened by Sky to Refer Me to a "Debt Collection Agency."
I would like your urgent help. I got an email from Sky, threatening my details to be given to a debt collection agency. Here is the issue: I had paid the relevant charges for early termination. This shows in my bank statements. Yet, I got this email. Please see the screenshot.
I am living permanently in Canada. So, I am not able to phone UK as the calls will be expensive. I left UK in January 2025.
It is really frustrating to get an email such as this one. I would appreciate Sky’s Customer Service team to help me solve this problem.
18 June 2025.

So did you return all loaned equipment to Sky?!
Have you kept your proof of posting / tracking information / email from Sky confirming the package is with the courier?
Please don’t try to post an image of the Royal Mail tracking or postal receipt as Sky don’t allow them on the forum.

Re: Threatened by Sky to Refer Me to a "Debt Collection Agency."
This is about a different issue. This time, I am being asked to pay for early termaination charges. I left the UK in January 2025. And Sky had deducted money from my bank account for these early termination charges. Now, in June 2025, I am being told that I "still" got to pay that charge!

Well line two of the message suggests it could be non return of equipment which is why I asked the question
"equipment you have purchased or failed to return when requested"

Can you still access your Sky bill online and if you can does it show that a payment was taken for this charge ?

Which is, to be fair, embarrassingly illiterate and consequently baffling as to its actual meaning...
Purchased equipment by definition doesn't require return.
