Third party tried to access my sky account

I had an email asking if I wanted to change my password on my sky account I did not enter the code sky sent me is my account safe

What else did this email Sky, was there a link in it then it would you to click through ?

 

Your account probably is safe but you could always try changing the password yourself or setting up two step verification on it, meaning when you want to access it a code will be sent to your mobile. If you do this then it is important you keep safe the recovery code as you can then use this to turn it off should you need to.

I already have two factor access so am I safe or do I need to change my password

I would say yes you do, as the code is only sent once the password has been entered correctly.

 

Use a strong password, 8 characters or more, letters, numbers and special characters, and don't use a word somebody who knows you can guess (your dog's name, for example) or a word that  you can find in the dictionary

I would second changing your password to a really strong one as per the post from @Mark39
