He neither has nor wants a sky account. I am starting to think the same of a company with such hopeless customer support.

So endless letters. Return to sender from now on to incur additional costs for them and I'll do the same with the eleven in the bin

You do realise you aren’t contacting Sky Customer Services here? This is predominantly a customer led discussion forum where Sky customers are available to help other customers.

I do but as I can't contact them I'm just making them aware indirectly. They used to be an OK company but not now, truly hopeless remote and uncontactable.

As your son isn't a Sky account holder then that will be the problem on the phone. Perhaps him writing to Sky head office via good old fashion snail mail will provide a response.

@IanL3 There is nothing Sky can do to help with this situation, Sky will send debt letters to the address they have on file for the account that is in arrears, calling and telling them there are new occupants won't change that(they have no way to verify that is correct). If the letters being sent are from a collections company then contact them, they should have procedures in place to help.

@IanL3 Is your son in anyway trying to become a sky customer if so he won't be able to until such time the previous owner has either cancelled or transferred their account
