Thanks sky because you forgot who is giving to you the money and hundreds of customers like me that are with you more than 6 years you raise the payment and do us to oay more than the new customers. What happens? As we are already with your company we have to pay more?? NOOO definitely NOT. Or you put us the same price as the new customers or to the new customers same price as us or we sill start to leave the company and when hundreds of people left your company let's see later how Sky goes.

Better discounts are offered to new customers as an incentive for them to join. Most providers do this.
If you choose to jump ship and go with another provider then in 18/24 months you'll be in the same position with that provider and if you want you'll be able to return to Sky as a new customer and gain the benefits available at that time.

Re: Thank you for do me to pay more than the new customers
Hi @Carlos38 New customers are given loss leading prices to attract them to join. Hopefully you were given a loss leading price when you joined. Please see Welcome below for information about this community and note that you are talking to other customers, not Sky.

Most large media companies have the same approach. As noted, 'loss leading' prices and then rely on inertia.
Once discounts expire you can negotiate new ones but it won't be as cheap as a new customer. Unfortunately, large firms like to turn a profit.
The only way to maintain 'new customer prices' is to switch at every opportunity to a different provider.

Re: Thank you for do me to pay more than the new customers
That's the most idiot answer i readed in long time. For that logic if the rest of the people throw them by one bridge I should go behind them?? You will go behind them?? What the redt of the companies do doesn't matter. The important should be keep the customers that they are who maintain the company working. So the deals should be for everyone. At this way, who is with your company keeps in there, and the new who comes, will keep there as well increasing the amount of customers and with it the money increase as well. Nobody studied marketing and company management on your company??????

You presumably came on here for advice on this subject and the correct information has been provided by myself and others. The fact you don't agree with the advice doesn't matter. You have the opportunity to change providers.

Seeing as its practically industry standard to offer cheaper deals to customers to get them to join it almost certainly the most profitable model at the moment. If it wasn't that the majority of companies wouldn't work in this manner.
