Switched from Sky 20th March. Still not received credit balance.

Per title.

When will I receive my credit balance of £46? It has been over 8 weeks, longer than the "upto" 6 weeks Sky say I would need to wait.

The direct debit has not been cancelled so they should be able to refund using the original payment method and not drag their feet writing cheques etc.

Does Sky hope some of their ex-customers will forget about any outstanding credit balance? Let's be honest, if I wasn't keeping an eye on it this money would probably have disappeared. Nice little earner for them.

Never mind eh, I'm sure I'll eventually receive the credit balance along with a predictable apology email blaming it on a computer or admin error (conveniently).

@DuckNorris
We can potentially help you get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here if you wish.

Let us know on this thread if you want to do that but before we can escalate it to Sky please confirm in your reply if it’s currently showing as a credit on your Sky account.

Hi Daniel0210, thanks for your help. I confirm the account is £46 in credit and I would appreciate your help forwarding this onto Sky for their attention. Thanks again.

@DuckNorris

I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later.

Look out for a post on this thread from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.

This link explains what happens.
