Re: Support with your Sky bill

I rnewed my contract with Sky on 25th March.   I received an email that night showing what my new charges would be.  They came to a total of £36 which was the agreed sume that I wanted to pay.  This was Sky TV at £20 and Sky Broadband at £16.   I was told tht the new contract would allow me to access box sets included in this pice.  £36.00 in total including VAT.

I have received an emil saying that my new charge will be £52.30 which is more th I was paying before and the very reason that I renegotiated my contract.  I notice that theya re charging me £10 to renew my contract and and I'm fairly certain that this was never mentioned in the phone call I had to renegotiate.

I would be grateful if someone could explain this all to me.   As a pensioner I am starting to wonder what I didn;t understand and why I am unable to talk to anyone.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Sky is basically blocking all customers unless they are in the COVID categories and this is unnaceptable!

You must free up staff for all customers!

When the lockdown finishes you will lose many, many customers!!

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Call centres abroad shut, staff shortages in uk plus large demand. Who would you prioritise under such circumstances? You can get through if you ignore message.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

I have just paused sky sport - but although my bill is not due to go out until 24 April - it has not deducted this months account.. whay is that?

Re: Support with your Sky bill

@crowlink01 , you pay in advance so your bill period would be 24  March - 24 April and collected 24 March. That's the process that my bill cycle follows & so if you have just lodged it then it's unlikely the bill for 24 April - 24 May would show that credit. I am sure it will adjust and you will get your credit... in time

@DlogamezUnfortunately as this is a customer forum no one has access to your account, including the Sky staff who post here, all you can do is phone Sky.

Re: Support with your Sky bill

Hi @Chloe-W22

I recently left sky broadband last week and my broadband was deactivated on the 9th April.  However I just check my bank and Sky has charged me  for the the  15 April to May 14 .    I was wondering why I am getting charge for this and I have left sky broadband once my minimum term has been completed.  I am currently getting charge by sky outside the conctract.  I have now cancelled any future direct debit with Sky, since this was not cancelled by Sky.  I usual call customer service, however it seems that there no way of contacting sky.  Please advice

Thanks @Chloe-W22

Re: Support with your Sky bill

My 18 month contract for sky boradband and talk is ending, and I just wanted clarification that I will now go on to a rolling contract, and not be placed on a new fixed term contract? Given current circumstances I don't want to mess around with shopping around until things are back to normal, but I just want to make sure that option isn't going to go away if I do nothing.
