Cancelling your DD won't achieve the outcome you want.

 

No one is going to call you from a post on a public forum.

 

Perhaps you'd like to explain your issue to see if the forum (other customers) can help?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Definitely not recommended. Doing that is going to cause you additional problems. Your services will be restricted, you won't be able to call Sky, you can't cancel, late payment fees will be added and eventually Sky can involve a debt recovery company which may affect your credit rating.

 

Apart from lengthy queues following last nights Sky Q outage there's no reason why you can't call Sky (during opening hours).

 

Calls to Sky will initially be automated which may try to send you here to the forum, offer you online help or offer to send you a text. Stay on the line as long as possible and saying nothing when asked the reason for the call sometimes helps being put in the queue for an agent.

What's the issue you are trying to resolve?

 

As noted, cancelling your DD will not achieve the outcome you want...

Afraid you are not contacting Sky directly here as this is a customer forum.
If you need to contact them you need to persevere by phone.
To contact Sky
Select Need more help
at the bottom of the following link and this will lead to a phone contact.
Ignore all automated messages and wait for an agent

If you are still in contract and cancel your direct debit Sky are likely to put you into the hands of debt collectors.

This could also adversely affect your credit rating.

I'm out of contract and on a rolling contract and I couldn't care less about credit scores.

Ok, but cancelling your DD does not cancel your contract unless you give proper notice...  (You will be still be liable)

@Paul615  Call again and simply stay on the line for as long as possible ignoring the bot when prompted you will eventually be put in the queue to speak to an agent 

 

but as already noted the queue wait time is likely to be lengthy due to the sky Q outage

Try ejecting Sky viewing card whilst off. Turn on then put viewing card back in when prompted.

Worked for us!
