Sky still chasing me for retuned Sky Q mini box

Hi,

I cancelled my Sky Q mini box in December 2023 and returned the equipment in January 2024.

 

I got an email out of the blue at the end of January 2025 saying they've sent me a returns envelope to return my Sky Q mini box.

 

I contacted Sky via the chat and asked eh? What's this about. I luckily still had my proof of sending (and delivery) from Royal Mail from a year earlier abd provided this via the chat and they confirmed it was an error on their part and they did indeed get my returned equipment last year. (See screenshot)

 

Yet just now I received an email saying I'm going to be charged £50 if I don't return the equipment that I have, and they confirmed I have.

 

Help!

We have to allow at least 10 minutes before we can escalate your post to Sky so I’ll escalate it at that point and their Messaging Team should contact you later.

Look out for a post on this thread from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.
