Sky sports free trail but not actually free

Was promised  a free sky sports Channel and would be notified when it was finished but wasn't and  now have an £86 bill for it this month.  Was given the free Channel  because the new city  fibre was so garbage had to have them out twice to fix it - absolute scammers

@Jacqui471

You don't normally get prior notice a limited time trial period is ending as it's usually only for one or maybe two months.

To now remove it you need to contact Sky giving the standard 31 days notice. You may be able to remove it via this link which includes a message option (usually available between 9am & 7.30pm) or by calling in using the number that should appear.

Am I the only person fed up with the use of 'scam' or 'scammers' because people haven't read or understood what they're signing up for?

Sky Q, 3 mini boxes, booster and full fibre gigafast. Good WiFi coverage throughout a 4-bedroom house!

Probably worth bearing in mind that in some circumstances, depending how the free trial is being given, its seemingly bad advice being given by the Sky representative misinforming people about how the billing system works and the need to proactively cancel the trial 31 days before it ends to avoid being charged.

I agree @Sharcuk Unfortunately a lot of these trials are offered by engineers at the customers address and engineers being engineers will have little if any knowledge of the billing system and the cancellation process.
