@CHRISTINAMURRAY

You have posted in the Sky Q board so presumably talking about a TV subscription.

The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term.

Re: Want to leave

Yes thought that may be the case but looks like the law may be changing,so many customers in the same boat as me wanting to leave after massive in contract  increases ie  £46 to £69 4 months in

@CHRISTINAMURRAY  I'm not sure why you have created 2 seperate threads so these have now been merged.

OFCOM and Sky have been in a lengthly legal dispute regarding whether satelliete TV broadcast does fall in scope of the regulations.

It should be noted that OFCOM has fairly weak regulatory powers when it comes to streaming subscription services, which Sky Glass and Sky Stream would fall into.

@CHRISTINAMURRAY

So unless you've changed your subscription or part of the agreed deal was a short term discount which has expired it'll be down to the annual price review/rise, which in the UK occurs in April, so there'll be another next April too.

Have you compared your latest bill to last months to see where the increase occurs?

The 'law' has already changed - but it doesn't currently apply to your situation.

...after massive in contract  increases ie  £46 to £69 4 months in

Check your itemised bills carefully - that's not just the annual increase?  (Sounds like some minimum term discount has expired too)

Re: Want to leave

2 year contract agreed in October 24 (£46pm) according to first bill had six different discounts for sky TV and brand expiring at different times, unknown to me. Crazy system designed to confuse.

We don't know what you agreed with Sky.  If it's 'wrong' then get in touch with them.

Check the emails you received carefully as they will state the agreed terms.

Re: Want to leave

Yes done all that contract says £51 still charged £69 after complaining (five phone calls) reduced to £58 still waiting for a refund for difference

Not a lot more us customers can add... Remember any quoted price is subject to increases - but discounts will remain for the agreed period.

The change (in Ofcom regulation) is that ISPs must now either provide broadband customers with a pounds and pence figure for future in-contract price increases at the point of taking on the contract, or permit them to leave.
