Ok, you need to ask Sky - we're just other customers here.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@Smudger+Ref
Maybe discounts have ended in which case you can contact Sky to try to negotiate a new deal or potentially amend your package which will now require a 24 month minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount, in fact recent posts on here indicate that significant discounts are much harder to come by. If you’re offered something acceptable be prepared to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.

You can either call Sky or use the following link

Re: Sky is becoming too expensive

You think that's expensive. I have been with Sky for nearly 40 years and a vip customer, for whatever benefit that is. I'm looking to cancel as nobody seems to want to help me. I am currently paying £138/ month Too much for anyone , let alone a vulnerable pensiomer

@Pusb1

Do you require help other than getting a cheaper deal, in which case provide some details and we can try and help.

Yip, 14 years mean nothing. Was paying £78 for TV and bb but all deals come to an end next month. Rand to see if they could do any new deals , was told new price would be £122 and best deal £114.....bye bye sky

Re: Sky is becoming too expensive

The prices are unbelievable . Last year the gave me discounts so u had everything really for around £100 , my contract ended and I called and was cut off and waited on hold again for ages , eventually they say my bill will go up to 150 pounds near enough and with offers being put on it can be 144 pounds . I nearly choked , but it's ok because and this is a direct quote from sky call centre "at the moment sir you are not in a contract but we are still giving you offers , if you were in a contract those offers wouldn't be any better . We are doing this as a valued customer" 🙄 so without co tract it's 140 odd pounds and with c contract  it's 140 odd pound..... wow deal of the century.
the way the call handlers talk to pppl now is beyond belief , some of them are extremely rude.
anyways im done im afraid , its just wat too costly to be with

If they are, presumably Sky don't agree with you!

Yup, as a streaming only service the overheads are lower.  No pesky hardware required nor dish or engineers to support it.

Just cancelled my subscription after 23years with sky full package just for the football £116 a month! 😂 I have just installed free sat and can choose my match's on a day ticket through Now TV and get TNT on discovery channel, the box is better than sky Q and thank god no more crazy high bills.

Re: Sky is becoming too expensive

Well what a saga several different people several different answers..... finally spoke to someone who actually knew what I wanted!

Well outcome is now paying less than I was and upgraded broadband too....come on sky why don't you just do that in the first place. Did sign up to BT but cost difference was in sky's favour in the end......I would have got rid bit the other half is old school and wanted some of the sky only stuff. Anyway next time I think it will be goodbye.

That's fairly obvious. They know from experience that many customers will just pay up.
