Sky failing to refund money taken incorrectly

I cancelled my Sky TV & Broadband back in mid January 2025. I was then charged £58 for the broadband which hadn't been active for over a month towards the end of March 2025.

I've spoken to Sky on 4 occassions now to get my money back. 2 of those occasions I was told the refund would be processed within 5 working days, the 3rd occassions I was told that was incorrect and they could only process refunds on the next billing date.

I opened a complaint which very quickly failed to do anything, and then was subsequently closed shortly after with no information, no refund, and no communication.

It is now towards the end of April, over 3 months after I cancelled Sky, and I have £113 outstanding credit on my account, which was taken out of my bank account, months after finishing with Sky and still failing to be refunded.

My next step is to contact the bank & communications Ombudsman to get my money back. How is a company this big, and this long standing, treating a customer of 15 years this badly? Or for that matter any customer.
