I'm afraid that's the response we often get when a poster finds no one agrees with their point of view. No one who has posted on this thread is employed by Sky.

Yeah alright, I'll take it to sky.

I do wonder though, it would be interesting to see what levels of absurdity sky would be willing to go with this.

Backlash? The contract terms you agreed are simply being pointed out. You are welcome to ignore any advice and go your own way...

The non-return charge will be levied for starters. They will collect this from any payment details they have on file.
If they do not then they are likely to involve debt collectors. Ultimately, they may take legal action.

Sorry that's not what I meant it just seems everyone is very opinionated. I'm not trying to be ranty I just had a disagreement morally and ethically with the policy.

If it gets that far I'll argue my corner but I'll probably just pay any early exit fees and leave sky if they really want to die on that hill they can, I imagine its not great for business to lose customers over ever inconsequential thing.

What won't be great for business is "loaning" equipment to customers and never getting it back so it can be reused or recycled.
Providing free returns packaging and is what most businesses do. It's hardly difficult or time consuming to go follow instructions and arrange a collection if you don't want to go out of your way to visit a post office.
im not really sure how you expect a company to arrange a pick-up of returned equipment seeing how they will never know when someone is at the property for the equipment to be collected. Your argument is quite flawed.

They can certainly try. I don't work for sky? I don't work for free?
If they want their equpment they can arrange collection, it has nothing to do with me. They should be able to operate their business without my involment.
It has everything to do with you. You accepted your respondibility to return Sky's equipment when you signed up. If you don't do so you'll be charged, as others have posted. It's not that onerous. In most cases you can arrange for the parcel to be collected from your home.

If you don't agree with the contractual terms then simply don't take the contract. This applies to any telecoms firm I'm afraid.

Contract terms aren't always enforcable or legal.

I don't disagree with the logistics though they could certainly arrange a suitable time with the customer for equipment to be collected.

Seems like you're trolling now.

Nope but I'm going to talk to sky anyway, I'm sure we can work something out if they are so desperate to get back this old worn out router.
