I want to cancel our sky TV package as we do not use the channels. We do use the pause and record functionality and id like to keep this. Friends have mentioned sky essentials - has anyone got recent experience of getting this for less than £15? Is it on a rolling contract? Anything else I should know?

Some posts have quoted as low as £5 a month on a 12 month minimum term.
