Sky contract ended and my telephone calls ignored despite being promised a callback

My Sky Q contract came to an end on the 12th February, due to my age my daughter who lives with me thought it best if we opened a new Contract in her name.  We decided on two new Glass TVs, the contract was setup. However Sky couldn't organise for the  Sky to become 'Live' until the 17th February.
I rang to ask if we could keep the Sky Q live until 17th explaining the reason why. My Sky DD was usually taken on the 17th of the month, at £113 I did not want to pay for a whole month when I only required 5 days. I was assured that although the payment would be taken as usual, as you pay in advance for Sky, I would receive a refund with a minimal charge applied.  I was also told that as we would  still be in a Sky contract, albeit a different name, I would probably receive a full refund.

Just to be sure I rang again and spoke to a different person, again being given the same answer.

I have made multiple telephone calls, also requesting boxes to return the Q boxes and was always told the boxes were on their way. Eventually I was told they must have been lost in the post and to use my own packaging to return the items. This I did and have a receipt of postage.

At the beginning of April I emailed Sky complaints , I received a reply asking me to ring them. I did this and after almost an hour the agent agreed to arrange for the telephone conversations to be listened to by Sky ( fortunately I had kept a date and time of the two that promised a refund.)  I was told it would take 8-10 days for a reply.  It's now day 12 and still no reply from Sky.

I am unsure where to go from here, any help would be appreciated.
Thank you

Contracts do not naturally 'end' - only discounts expire.

Can you confirm when you gave Sky your 31 days notice to cancel that contract?  And did you receive cancellation confirmation?

It's not always that simple due to how the billing system works...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
