Been in a fight with sky for over 2 years now about the fact I didn't, and can't order sky broadband, they don't provide it at my property, yet I'm having to fight them for a cancellation fee? I've had 3 different debt collection companies chase me, sent sky the evidence that I've had no bills from them and they even said on the phone that they don't provide it at my property! I had sky 3 years ago at my old property but I paid my cancellation fee when I moved and have the proof for that too! I have proof of when I moved, proof that the tracking number they gave me for this mystery broadband is fake (thanks Royal Mail) and I was told I'd get a call back over a week ago, to discuss this further...still waiting. Anyone else had this issue?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Nothappy6 errors do get made by most if not all large companies and they can be a pain to sort. It is best to communicate in writing keep copies of all correspondence and make notes of any phone calls including who you spoke to and when. This page https://www.stepchange.org/debt-info/your-rights/disputing-debts-with-creditors.aspx explains how to dispute a debt.
Ask Sky to provide proof of the debt. When contacted by debt collectors tell them you dispute the debt and to return the case to Sky. Do not ignore correspondence especially from a court if court action is started post a defence and ask for a hearing at your local court. Your local Citzens Advice can help with the forms etc. as can charities like Step Change both can give expert free advice.
