Sky broadband confirmation then cancelled?

I have just moved into a new rented property and signed up to Sky broadband and TV.

i believe sky was here before with the previous tenants but not with me.

i have received an email confirmation to say my sign up has been successful and within the same time frame I've received numerous emails stating my services has been cancelled? 
I now do not know if I will have Sky or not as I cannot speak to anyone about it?

Why can you not call Sky about it as you will need to speak to them about this as it could be an issue with your address and the fact the previous owner had an account.
