Sky broadband account serious issues

Hi! I have switched from virgen media to Sky but found out by virgen media that Sky never sent the notification of the transfer so now Virgen media wants to charge me for full month of internet as my account is still open with them. I have called Sky about it and the agent said the complaint team would call me the next day to get this fixed as this is Sky's mistake and nothing. No one called and I'm tired of having to reach out to customer service for them to say the same thing to me: someone will call you the next day and nothing. It is very frustrating. Could someone from sky reach out and fix this problem. It's crazy that I need to pay for two broadbands because of Sky error
