Sky billing us for what? After closing account

After closing our BB and TV and paid in full.  Now getting emails saying we owe money. Not sure what for can't speak to anyone.  Managed to get through via phone, but won't put us through unless we pay outstanding amount ant set up a DD?  Have no idea what this is about.

Hi @Galahad   When did your services finish? Bills are created 14 days before your normal billing date. Also did you make a manual payment? If you cancelled correctly, you will have confirmation emails etc.

@Galahad

Perhaps you failed to pay a bill that came at the end of your notice period as bills are generated 14 days before the billing date on most subscriptions.

Thank you, but it's been three months now. And have not indicated as to where we send it as the account is closed. It's seems they've suspended a particular service , we have to pay to resume it. All a bit odd.

It seems you were premature in cancelling your payment method.

You need to pay what they believe is owed and set up a new continuous payment method.

Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services you should be able to get through to Sky. Any overpayment will be refunded.

You should be able to pay the bill and set up your direct debit via the MySky app or online using this link

Re: Sky billing us for what? After closing account

Sorry I'm not buying this.  Our sky account said closed.  And why wait for three months before asking for more money without explanation, and to add £10 for late payment.   It's shoddy.  So until I get a full explanation I will not be paying anything.

After cancelling did you receive an email from Sky acknowledging the cancellation? If not then the cancellation wasn't confirmed.

Either your account was not closed correctly or a mistake on it has been made no matter what is going on the only way you will be able to talk to Sky is by restoring your direct debit. This will need to be in ola d for any overpayment to be refunded otherwise a cheque will have to be sent and this can take months to be issued.
