My parents currently have Sky Signature and Sky Fibre Max, as well as paying £19 for line rental (no phone, but I'm told line rental is unavoidable?)
Their internet speed is poor and with constant ups and downs connection-wise for years. Say they switched to Virgin Internet (and kept Sky Signature), would they still have to pay line rental?

They wouldn't pay line rental to Sky anymore as they would no longer be a Sky Broadband/Talk customer.
