Sky Q users getting bad deal on tv packages

So I saw a deal for sky stream online which has;

Sky Stream, Sky Sports, Ultimate TV & Netflix £42/month

I'm currently paying double that for the same channels  on my sky Q account and i've been told by the chat helper that I can't get anywhere near those prices while staying on SkyQ.

I don't want sky stream, I prefer being able to record as sky aren't very good at uploading live content that quickly after its on.

I can't see why they can justify the higher prices, and why the skyQ tv packages are so old, i mean come on, paying extra for HD, then paying extra again for UHD is rediculous in 2024.

What are my options (Removed) 19 years VIP clearly means nothing.

If you're 'in contract' you'll have to see it through, but as the price is what you agreed with Sky, I imagine you're happy with it.

If you're not 'in contract' you could either see if you can negotiate a cheaper deal with Sky, or give notice and find another provider.

Practically all Sky customers are VIPs.

Re: Sky Q users getting bad deal on tv packages

You have highlighted exactly why I left Sky and have no intention to return.

I could not agree more about the charges for HD, UHD, Multiroom. They still consider Sky Movies as a Premium offiering.

My previous Sky Q Mini box didn't even do 4k and was a rubbish bit of hardware in general.

As the previous poster said; if you are out of contract, you can call them and negotiate down, or just go elsewhere. We mostly watch Freeview + On Demand + Netflix & Prime; Sky wanted to charge us £65 a month for this WITHOUT broadband when my original deal expired.

In their desperation they suggested I could remove HD 'as it doesn't really make any difference' (lol)

But, many people simply just grin and bare it or just don't look at alternatives. They are not the one stop shop entertainment monopoly they were in the 2000s, but sure do still act like it!
