How do you activate direct debit guarantee to get the refund on a cancelled contract

@GTSIM

What services did you cancel?

When did you contact Sky to cancel?

How did you cancel it ?

Did you receive an email confirming cancellation?

I doubt very much anything untoward has happened here. For TV services you have to give 31 days notice to cancel (if you're out of contract) and for Broadband it's 14 days and you are charged up to and including your last day of connection. As bills are generated 2 weeks before your payment date it stands a chance a bill was generated whilst you were still a customer. These payments are not unauthorised. Once you've left any overpayment is normally refunded within about 6 weeks providing your payment method hasn't been cancelled.
