Fortunately I rang Sky this morning and achieved a good outcome.
However, just in case you do not know many of us booked the Usyk/Fury fight from the box advert that appeared on the opening page. After a couple of hours viewing, I noticed it was NOT in HD. When I then looked at the line listings I saw that the fights were being transmitted on HD and non HD channels: I had paid for the non HD channel. I cancelled and changed to the HD channel (MUCH BETTER: fortunately this was way before the headliner fight).
I thought I had better check and was told this morning that there had been a glitch and she would ensure I would only be charged once. If I had not rung I do not know what might have been charged (twice I suspect).
I was informed that many others had had the same problem BUT you might not realise this.....

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI might be wrong but I was under the imression that PPV events on Sky Box Office are in HD by default as that has been the case with previous fights and events.

No idea but seems sensible. I was told it was a glitch...

Just sent a long reply and got an authentication note.. Will try again

Try again
Thanks
I wish it were easier to find this information.. Reflecting to help I hope...
1. When I switched from the sd to the hd channel it was unclear whether another charge would be levied
2 the sky responder this morning did not say this was the case. Rather a note was made to avoid double charging
3 see my previous query ref rules on sky sport box office recording.... only by pressing "i" twice could I find the answer...
Another customer found that helpful... Qed improve your systems
4 another example of lack of clarity
I purchased a film 4w or so ago. I had NO idea that it would be deleted 48h after viewing had started. We were lucky we watched it in one go. Longer films we often watch in two sittings eg Oppenheimer... Surely a notice should appear automatically ab initio?

I recently also answered a SKY questionnaire about issues and referred them to my tabled comments. I am not sure these have been tabled though. Here they are again.
I note it is impossible to email SKY which is surely a problem? Or am I wrong there.
Thanks

Watching free-to-air HD doesn't involve a separate charge (by definition) and it's not possible to switch to a non-free HD channel without having an appropriate subscription.

Thanks
Yes I see now... new to this... S/he is a superuser not an employee 🤷
Interesting that Sky don't look at these comments. They did send a questionnaire after the phone call and I cross referred them to my questions.
SO
In future I will be more assertive with them..

Thanks I know tgat
But
I'm just referring to sd and hd listed channels for the Sky sport box office paid for fight programme Saturday night.
I paid for it and was auto referred to the SD (Sky Box +) channel not the HD one..
