Setting up broadband for a new build house.
Hi,
I have been trying to get in touch with Sky for a few days now but the live chat always seems to be unavailable.
I am moving into a new house in under 2 weeks, this is my first home so i dont have any previous broadband providers or experience with all this.
I was trying to build a package deal including broadband but i keep getting to a page that says, 'Unfortunately sky broadband is not available at your address'. Though i was assured by the developor and builder that sky should be compatible. It has full fibre cables and everything already set up so im not sure why sky is saying it is unavailable, i would really like to speak to an expert to get to the bottom of this as i am running out of time and may have to just go with another provider.
If anyone has had this problem with new builds before and can offer any advice i would be extremly grateful as im not sure what to do.

Re: Setting up broadband for a new build house.
@Zoee08 do you know who is providing the broadband to your property? If not I would ask the builder... it could be Openreach, OFNL, Virgin, CityFibre, or any number of alternate providers.
You can try using your new postcode in the Openreach checker
If that fails maybe try the OFNL checker as some new build estates use them.
If Openreach shows availability then it maybe the case that Sky is a little slower than other broadband providers in updating their system. This was the case when fibre to the property (FTTP) came to my estate.
Now TV Sports Ultra Boost @ £26 pm (till Feb 2026)
1000/115 FTTP (Aquiss) to Zyxel DX3301
3 x Asus XT9s + 2 x RT-AC58U V3 for WiFi (AP mode)
65" Samsung S92C OLED TV
C430 Samsung soundbar with subwoofer
6 other streaming TVs
43+ network connected devices
