Please be aware, if sky offers you a discount. I was scammed yesterday, not buy scammers. But a member of staff. I phone to inform them that I had lost some satellite channels, the operator said I needed a engineer to visit. I informed him I would have to get back to them as I was very busy and would not be able to be in.
he then told me he was going to give me a £15 discount on this months bill for loss of service, he also informed me he would be reducing my bill by £5 a month.
I thought all this was a good will gesture , it was far from😡😡.
five minutes after our conversation ended. I received an email informing me I had just entered another 18 month contract, there was never any mention of a new contract. I then had to go to another department to try and get this contract cancelled. The lady was very very rude. She said her and her manager would listen to the call and get back to me , by the end of the day. They did not, please be careful sky have started fraudulently getting people into
unwanted contacts. I will now be sending a very strong email to the appropriate governing body. And get this contract stopped.

Perhaps worth noting there is no 'appropriate governing body' for subscription television services: it's not a particularly heavily regulated industry.
The Sky policy on complaints, including escalation to an Alternative Dispute Resolution process is described here:

You have to exhaust the internal complaints process before you can escalate.

I think 5 promised call backs, non received exhausts my patience. All they had to do was listen to call back. Not recieved a reply via email which states will respond in 24 hrs. Some very dodgy sales people in sky.
