Received a call from Sky Assured Maintenance. Liverpool number from caller with broken english. Told her I don't have Sky...she no not Sky...I told her.not to call back and I hung up on her. This is obviously a scam! Please investigate.

This is a customer helps customer firim

so you are not talking directly to Sky.

There is nothing Sky can do to stop such calls getting through to you I'm afraid so should you receive anymore just hang up on them.

There's no law against having a similar company name. It becomes an issue if the caller goes on to misrepresent the service which the company offers.

Unfortunately that particular outfit has been around for years, and may actually offer maintenance for some Sky-related equipment, which is entirely legal as long as they don't pretend to be appointed by Sky Group.
