SKY debited £0.01 from my account - bill is paid by different account

Good afternoon. I am a SKY customer. My bill is paid through one bank account. A different bank account has shown a transaction for £0.01. It looks like a payment request seeking to ascertain if the account is active. I spoke with my bank who can't help.  I have tried calling SKY but can;t get through to speak with a human. Is there any way SKY can ascertain who has apoparently tried to make a payment from my bank account? I have the transaction reference, time and date.

Ate you sure it is Sky that has taken this as usually the referance on a debit like this is your account number so while it says Sky it doesn't mean it is or might be.

Thank you for the reply. Yes, there is a 12 digit reference which isn't my account number.

I think you will need to raise this with your bank as regardless on the amount they should be able to investigate this.
