Roaming charges applied but could not use the service

I recently travelled to Jamaica and my roaming services were activated. However, I was unable to use the data but was charged over £226. My mobile services have now been deactivated even though I contacted Sky to let them know I could not use the service in Jamaica and could not pay £226 for a service I could not use. I have paid my other charges but now I can't use my phone services even though I have been  gold VIP member with sky for over 7 years. Could someone please assist.

@Leelee4  Unfortunately you need to pay what Sky say you owe, then you can dispute charges, if you've witheld payment then that is the wrong way to go about resolving things.

Your tenure with Sky is irrelevant.

Sky won't speak you  you if you owe them money, also if the balance is outstanding for 56 days or more Sky will cancel your service and pass the debt to a 3rd party to collect.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

As above, you cannot withhold payment (and pay what you think).

Chances are your device did incur those charges as rest of world locations are very expensive.

Sounds like you've increased the default spend cap too?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

That would be the cost of a few dozen megabytes, and may well have been consumed by background services long before you chose to try and make use of an online service.
