Mother in law died. I rang sky and they were lovely. I explained that I need to keep broadband but wanted to return the TV set-up. Lady could not have been lovlier, so helpful, so understanding. Took my details, explained they woudl change the account set up to my details and send out a box to return the kit. So nice, so emphathetic.
And then the sh*t show begins
One week later..... HI THIS IS xxx FROM SKY TV. I SEE YOU ARE A BROADBAND CUSTOMER ONLY. ITS A GREAT TIME TO GET TV.
Not if you are dead pal
3 weeks later. A text, you haven't returned the kit yet. Do it now to avoid charges.
1 hour on the phone. Definitely being sent
A further 2 weeks. Same text

A further 2 weeks. Same text. And email saying 160 bill too.

Never got the packaging. Spent 3x 1 hour on the phone be bounced around, going through all my details each time and then getting to.... 'oh can't help you, I'll pass you to my colleague'.
They are very good with regular text and email threats, just not so much good at sending a box or a bag.

You can use any packaging as long as it’s secure and you may want to put a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment that is included. You can go via this link to get a return label created and printed: https://www.royalmail.com/track-my-return#/details/2164
Full details on the returns process can be found here:

Keep your proof of posting safe and the tracking number indefinitely. There have been a lot of reports of delays with the returns being processed, potentially taking 2 months, so its useful to keep proof or return that could be sent to Sky should they try and charge you with a failure to return fee.
