Request for extra days to pay bill and no restrictions

I need another 7 days to pay current bill due to my bank account getting cloned and emptied , and I need to get restrictions stopped before they actually do it in about 3 days

Sky will automatically reapply for the direct debit in 10 days

If your payment is usually taken by a direct debit and this fails then you do not have to do anything as Sky will automatically try again in 10 days time. They might send you an email about this saying that your bill is overdue so do not be tempted to make a manual payment as doing so might not stop from also trying to take it again.

You would have to ask Sky, but as the payment process is automated, I doubt it will be possible,

@Missscousemama8 Speak to Sky by phone asap and explain the situation. I've found them to be very reasonable on the couple of occasions I've ever had problems paying on time. Not lost service either occasion.

I've called them 8 times so far and each time been cut after over 30 mins on the phone it's stressing me out as you can't just chat via app

Unfortunately the payment process is automated but try calling later this morning as soon as the lines reopen. 

 

I agree with @Mark39 that the agents will probably not be able to stop this process even if you're told otherwise on the phone. Sky don't allow promises to pay on or by a certain date (the extra few days you're requesting). 


If the restriction happens Sky won’t reinstate services until you’ve paid what is owed and set up a new continuous payment method.

Once your full payment has cleared and is in Sky’s account your services should then be reinstated, but this may not be instant, in fact any payment you make over a weekend or on a Bank Holiday won’t be processed until the following week.
