Renewal price sky high

Why do Sky think it's acceptable to shaft long existing account holders and offer new members packages almost 1/2 price without knowing if there even gonna get paid. Loyalty is non existent 😡

If your discounts have expired, Sky charge the standard list price, as explained in the contract you signed up to.

Attracting new customers by offering heavily discounted prices has long been Sky's (and just about every other provider's) business strategy., so presumably it works for them.

Nothing to do with 'loyalty'.

Most, if not all providers do this now. From recent posts on here it does seem that decent deals are increasingly hard to find. If you choose to leave the same will happen at the end of your discounted deal with whoever you go with. Once you've been away for 18 months you'll be able to rejoin and benefit from new customer discounts.

Or wait 6 months after leaving and be offered Sky Stream or Sky Q at half price. That's what happened with me.
