Renewal 'offer' applied before allowing me to view it

I have just logged into the app and got the message 'your contract ends soon see what your renewal offer is' i clicked through and it said click continue and you will see you offer. I ked through and it's auto apploes to offer without me getting a chance to see it! The tv is the same proce but the broadband is more and I can get it a lot cheaper elsewhere. Has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone know ow if I call them in the morning what my rights are to cancel the renewal within their cooling off period - does this apply to renewals?

Cheers

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

All you can do is to call Sky in the morning to see what they say as really you should have had the option to see and make your mind up before it was renewed as per your post. If you want to cancel the broadband and they agree 14 days notice is required.

I have also just had this as well.

I have recorded the screen of the process.

They have now put me in a new contract that although is £10 cheaper I did not want to commit to.

I will be calling in the morning and making a complaint based on this.

I've just got an email saying if I no longer want the 'offer' to get in touch within 31 days. Yeah cause ill renewal broadband at £60 when I can get it for less than  £30! Chancers!

Re: Renewal 'offer' applied before allowing me to view it

Same here had an email and my future bills reflect the change.

Appreciate my offer was less but I have been discussing my terms and did not want to accept the offer as wanted a better deal.

Safe to say this is a system error but still I bet a few people will be effected by this.

Managed to get it all cancelled. Best they could offer was a £3 discount. 14 years as a customer and that's what you get. Bye bye sky!
