Refund was due several weeks ago and still not paid

My sky was cancelled in June 2025 and end of contract on 2nd July, sky then still took a payment on 8th July (which in my eyes they take these extra payments of 100s of thousands to gain extra interest on their accounts, taking payments up front and delaying paying them back) so I rang sky I was told it would be paid back on 8th August, no payment was made, Iokked online and it said upto 6 weeks, so I waited, no payment, it's now been 8 and a half weeks and my case is not alb isolated case, I think what these big companies are doing is disgusting, even the hassle of ringing the company several times due to the either very poor service, or their greed of gaining extra interest through keeping the extra money in their accounts.

@Vinyljam80

We could normally escalate this to Sky on here via their Messaging Team but unfortunately the process is currently switched off and we don't know when it'll return.

At present you will need to contact Sky and speak to an agent by other means; through social media, Sky Assistant or by calling in perhaps. Saying nothing when asked the reason for your call usually helps in getting put in the queue.

@Vinyljam80 you are notvtalking to Sky by posting in the forum.. Delays in paying outcrdit amounts are pretty well universal and are not limited to Sky. You need to persevere by calling Sky as the forum escalation route is stilll closed.

Yes, I understand that, but being told you are getting the refund on the 8th August and you don't, then being told you will receive it by 19th August and you don't is outright lies and this is not the first time I have had issues with sky.  I recorded their calls before because I caught them out lying about agreeing contracts with my self.

Unlikely. Much more likely it's what the adviser expected to happen, but for some reason it hasn't. We've seen occasional, similar reports of refunds failing to arrive even though the advisers have put them in motion.
