Refund of credit

My contract with Sky finished on 29th September, and they were informed at least 2 weeks earlier that I would not be renewing. I was told that my contract would effectively be cancelled immediately, due to it being so close to the contract end date. The hub was returned as soon as I received the packaging.

 

On 19th September another monthly payment was taken, and I was told I'd receive a credit for the payment. Two months on and I am still waiting for the refund to be processed. I can see other posts where the person is told that refunds can take up to 6 weeks, but we are beyond that time frame now. Can this refund be processed now please?

Hi, I can, yes. It just says that the credit will go towards the next bill, but there are no future bills.

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you sometime tomorrow morning regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page.


This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears:

When the chat bubble does appear you will have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. To start the conversation just type in it.

iam having the same issue. I cancelled my services was told I needed to make one more payment and that I would be refunded.

If your payment method is still active on your Sky account refunds usually take up to 6 weeks from your last day of connection. If your payment method has been cancelled Sky will have to manually raise a cheque (usually involving a back office team) and post it to you so it’ll take longer.

If you wish we can try to help get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if that’s what you want to do.

Chat invites aren't guaranteed but I’ve escalated your post to Sky again and their Messaging Team should contact you later.

Look out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread periodically.
