I am paying £174 a month and need to reduce - have been on this rate for a while but am sure others and maybe Sky offer cheaper packages

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe best thing you can do is to contact Sky for help with this, if they do offer you a discount it will probably come with a new 18 month contract.
There are a few ways to contact Sky about this including using a messaging service as you can see via the Yes button at the bottom of this page, ignore that is says to cancel as you can use this as well:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv
So select "Yes I still need help" at the bottom of the page as the options will load after about 5 seconds.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@moore1966 The onus is on you as the customer to negotiate with Sky to see if you can agree an acceptable price
so why not give Sky a call and see what they can offer you, any offer will come with a new minimum term and must be accepted on the spot

I feel the same.
My contract is coming to the end in March and the price increase from March to April is £46 per month more!
There is no way I can afford that and sky not offering any deals - when you go in they wont give you it.
Seriously looking at BT now.
