We purchased sky fibre in Nov 22 but due to availability of engineers with openreach installation couldn't be done until mid Jan 23. We were originally with BT broadband on old copper cable. Part of the process from my understanding is that sky would notify Bt of the transfer who would cease services on activation of the new broadband.
Openreach arrived to install a new line and box outside house. Sky then arrived a couple of days later to install the internal components. At this point they struggled getting it all connected
Almost 2 weeks passed until sky finally got the broadband up and running. Various issues but finally all sorted. Sky advised that our existing bt broadband would continue running up until the point of the new activation.
However bt broadband still are billing us for the old service we had even though sky are now our supplier.
Not too sure who to contact. Sky. Or bt who our old supply was with. If sky were meant to manage the transfer then surely the cancellation of bt would have been managed by them.
Any guidance appreciated.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAs Bt are still billing you it is them who you need to contact to let them know of the date you moved to Sky.
