Are you sure this call was from Sky, when they called did they ask for your telephone password ?

Ok - but if any mobile phones suddenly arrive take extra care not to return them to any scammer.  It's a well-known scam where they compromise your account an order expensive devices and get you to return them to them.  (They have the device, you are paying for it)

 

I'm not convinced it was Sky calling you.  However, I would contact them directly to see if they have a record of this 'offer'.

I suspect you've been scammed. There's one where a 40% reduction in the bill is offered including offering a free gift but all they're interested in is your account details where they'll order expensive devices & the first a customer knows about it is when either a 'thank you for your order' email arrives or the device is delivered.
Once the scammers know the device has arrived they'll call you back & say the incorrect gift has arrived & that you need to return it to a specific address or that they'll collect it - don't do either as you'll be liable for the full cost of the device/s. You need to contact Sky & report it as well as secure your account by changing the password.

I was given a slight reduction on payments over the next three months and it has happened on my account but did not receive the usual email of confirmation!

Does the reduction equal the % given during the call?
